Frequently asked
The honest answers.
The questions caregivers actually ask. If yours isn’t here, the answer is probably “email us” — and we’d like to add it.

General questions
LabyrinthKey is a non-profit organization building AI tools for the people doing the hardest, least-celebrated work in care. Our first product, KeyAide, is an AI-powered platform that supports caregivers of neurodivergent individuals — providing personalized guidance, evidence-based resources, and a growing library of focused tools for daily caregiving challenges.
Yes. All eight tools are free. No paywall, no premium tier, no credit card. LabyrinthKey is a non-profit, and the work is funded through grants, sponsorships, and individual support — not user fees.
Yes. We prioritize privacy and data protection. We adhere to strict privacy policies, do not store personal information from your conversations, and do not train models on your stories. Interactions are confidential and secure.
No. KeyAide is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult qualified healthcare providers for medical concerns. KeyAide helps you understand information, prepare for appointments, and organize your caregiving — not replace clinical care.
Use the feedback option within the app, or email us at support@labyrinthkey.ai. We read every message and use feedback to continually improve the platform.
KeyAide is designed for day-to-day caregiving support, not crisis intervention. In a crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately. KeyAide can help you locate relevant resources and hotlines when you need them.
KeyAide doesn't directly facilitate peer connections, but it can suggest relevant support groups, local resources, and ways to connect with other caregivers in your area.
Section 2
KeyAide tools
KeyAide includes a growing suite of specialized tools: Email Writing Helper (drafts to schools and providers), Appointment Preparation (agenda + question lists), Medical Jargon Decoder (plain-language clinical translations), Behavior Logger (track patterns over time), Research Finder (evidence-based summaries), IEP Translator (20+ countries), Connect the Dots (visual mapping canvas), and Care Playbook Generator (shareable guides). All eight are free.
Connect the Dots is a visual diagramming canvas that lets you map relationships between your child's behaviors, triggers, environments, and outcomes. Create nodes (color-coded by type), connect them with arrows, and save or download your diagrams to share with teachers, therapists, or your care team. It's fully interactive and works in your browser — no software to install, no account required to start.
The IEP Translator converts complex education-plan language into plain language a parent can act on. It supports 20+ countries with region-specific legal context — including the United States (with state-level regulations), Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and more. You can also enter your child's age so explanations are appropriately calibrated.
We're a non-profit. The work is supported through a mix of grants, foundation partnerships, in-kind technology support from Google Cloud and Anthropic, and individual contributions from people who believe caregivers deserve compassionate technology. If you'd like to support the work, email support@labyrinthkey.ai — but you never have to in order to use any tool.
Whenever you’re ready.
KeyAide is free. No login wall, no medical claims, no judgment. Just a careful voice in your corner when you need one.
